Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
O Immaculate Heart of Mary, perfect model of sanctity, take my soul and mold it according to your sublime perfections.
Purify my heart and set it free from every obstacle to holiness, so that detached from self and the pleasures of sense, you may adorn it with the virtues and perfections of your own Immaculate Heart.
Then lead my soul to that divine intimacy which alone can satisfy the immense capacity for love and union with which God has created the human heart. From you, I confidently hope for this grace of holiness and I entrust my eternal destiny to your Immaculate Heart.
Amen.
The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
Consecration Prayer
O Mary Immaculate, we consecrate ourselves to you today, you who are our life, our sweetness and our hope. You know how perilous the times, how often we are tempted to be unfaithful to your Divine Son. We want to avoid sin, but we fail and fall into discouragement. Lift us up when we fail; be with us in moments of darkness when we may think that God has abandoned us. The hard road of following Christ has never been easy. Today it demands heroism. Of ourselves we are weak and useless servants. Inspire us to ever seek the truth in charity, to be brave in adversity, to be generous in self-giving.
You, who brought the Prince of Peace into the world, give us peace of soul, harmony in our families, and tranquility among the family of nations. Let us radiate peace and joy to all we meet. We entrust ourselves totally to you that the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus may be established as soon as possible for the greatest honor and glory of God. Amen.
